Picture Grace Oral History Project

Check it out! Although this is a project separate from the script of Picturing Grace, action is in progress for the Picture Grace Oral History Project.

From the project site:
“In celebration of the 2018 centennial of the  picture Grace, the Grace Oral History (video) Project by A+B Productions (makers of Gems of Itasca series) in partnership w/ Itasca County Historical Society – will celebrate the photograph and its legacy among Itasca families through the generations. The project will be part of the 2018 Grace Centennial Exhibit hosted by the Itasca County Historical Society which will also entail community outreach/tour in 2018.”

Educational Add-On

Representatives Nathan Bergstedt and Stephanie Schroeder gave a presentation of our show to the Winter Gathering for Minnesota Presenters Network last Wednesday. Some feedback received was a great interest in seeing an educational component accompanying the show. This has already been considered, as it was considered and implemented in part at the premiere production of Picturing Grace.

As a historical interpretation of how the picture Grace came to be, there is already an educational component woven through the show. Yet, there is great opportunity to make it more enriching through a workshop, a display, and/or by other means. So what should the educational enhancement be? History? Photography? Acting? Writing? Let’s hear your thoughts in the comments or by email to picturinggrace@gmail.com.

The First Pitch…

Picturing Grace promo card

It is beginning…

On March 16th, a group of hosting venues will be meeting in the Twin Cities to review upcoming performance opportunities to bring to their site. We are on the list to present.

We will present a 20-minute, 20-slide PechaKucha to get the presenters excited about this show and its 2018 Centennial Tour for the photograph!

New site!

Until now, the play ‘Picturing Grace’ has had its sole online presence at facebook.com/graceonstage.

In preparation to open up for other productions of this piece, including ramping up for a statewide tour in 2018, http://www.graceonstage.com is a new platform on which to promote this touching piece of drama.

Stay tuned for updates as we assemble a statewide tour for the centennial of the picture ‘Grace’ in 2018.
